When you check out lists of the top wireless home entertainments systems then you will notice that the LG DA-W5100 system is often high up on them.
This is a nice looking wireless theatre unit, although to be fair pretty much all of the options in this market are stylish enough to give any home an extra modern touch. The LG DA-W5100 home theatre comes in a highly attractive silver and black design.

As is usual with wireless home theatre systems, you still get a few wires between the speakers, to ensure that they give you the power you need to enjoy your favourite movies in the comfort of your own home without losing out on audio strength. The speakers have a handy connection light which lets you when they are properly connected to the main unit.

The total audio output is 350W, which isn’t the highest you will find but should be more than enough for most of us. The only people who will find this a bit on the low side are those who like to put their films on at an ear shattering level.

The connectivity options are pretty much what you would expect and getting set up and started is easy enough. The unit comes with diagrams to help you get started but a lot of users won’t even need these, we wouldn’t think.

Once you get going you will find that the audio and visual performance is rich and detailed enough to let you sink back into your favourite armchair and really enjoy your entertainment. The surround sound is of a good quality and the images presented are clear and sharp even in dark scenes.

It is a neat system but it isn’t really the most stunning design around, and if you want to find a model on looks alone then you will undoubtedly find others which suit your tastes more. However, for a combination of good value, clean looks and a top performance you will probably be quite happy with the LG DA-W5100 home theatre system.

Anyone looking to add a wireless home theatre system to their entertainment options at a relatively low cost will no doubt be tempted by the Panasonic SC-PT750 system.
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr><td><img src="" /><td></tr><tr><td><td></tr></table>
It certainly is one of the best value options around, although if you prefer to get top of the range models and don’t mind splashing out more money then there are more complete packages on offer.

The top selling point for this home entertainment system might be the price but there are plenty of features on it too. It comes with surround speakers, an iPad docking area, HDMI output and is XM Satellite radio ready.

One of the things which will first attract your attention is the powerful sound which comes out of the small speakers. They really offer a great surround sound, which as we all know is an essential part of the home movie experience. Most user’s report that it isn’t even really necessary to do the messy calibration exercise which most systems force you to go through. The speakers can be mounted on your walls if you want to keep the floor clear and get a better angle on your sound too.

As regards possible downsides, if you are looking for video or digital audio input options then you won’t find them here. Also, the wireless speakers aren’t completely wireless – which is the case with similar systems – although they have fewer wires than a lot of other models.

The iPad dock is a nice feature which could come in very useful. This is Panasonic’s most basic wireless home theatre system from their fairly extensive range but it still includes handy features such as a 5 disc CD or DVD tray and a very nice look.

If you want an attractive and well designed way to turn your lounge into a home cinema without blowing your budget then the system will do the job very nicely.

You may very well be looking at the latest generation of wireless home theatres and thinking that they look great but what are the benefits in splashing out one? It certainly isn’t a cheap option so it is well worth spending some time working out how you would actually get some sort of benefit from it.

1.	Cinema like experience. This is the most obvious benefit, but you shouldn’t think that it is a glib marketing statement that doesn’t really mean anything. Having a cinema type experience really means that you are transported to a special place where you forget the rest of the world and get caught up in the action. To fully appreciate this you obviously need to be a big fan of films and be able to find a peaceful and quiet place to settle down with some snacks and enjoy the experience.

2. Surround sound. This probably comes in as part of the overall cinema like experience mentioned in the first point, but the sheer quality of the overall sound is so good that it also deserves its own point. You will get a choice of different types of speaker packages and they come with a range of speakers which are placed around the room to really let the sound envelope you.

3.	More flexibility. If you like to move your film viewing from one room to another then a wireless system is much easier to do it with than other types of home viewing equipment. If you want to spend a little bit more on a wireless receiver as well then you can even enjoy your movies in different rooms without moving anything at all. All in all, you will find that with this type of modern equipment your viewing is nowhere near as restricted at it was before.

4.	Less clutter. The old way of enjoying a home theatre experience was to get different players and speakers hooked up to your TV and then try to hide all the wires out of sight and out of harm’s way. This is no longer necessary, although it should be pointed out that most wireless systems contain some cables to connect the speakers to a power source.

5.	A top quality look. If you have a modern lounge you are proud of then putting a wireless entertainment system in it will further enhance the look of your property. These systems are, generally speaking, enormously stylish and wonderful looking. There are a range of looks you can go for, depending upon your taste and the existing decoration, but they are just about all lovely pieces of machinery to look and great ice breakers when you have friends round.

6.	Great connectivity. Modern systems can hook you up with just about of your modern devices, meaning that you can transfer data from one machine to another without any hassle. As the average home gets more and more types of player and digital devices in it having a central point which can connect everything together is a major benefit.

7.	Price. You may think of the price of wireless home theatre systems as being a drawback, as they are fairly expensive, but if you take into the account the quality which is covered in the previous points then they really aren’t that expensive. If you are looking for a modern home entertainment system which gives you great pleasure for years to come then it can be looked upon as a very good investment which you will not regret.

As soon as you lay eyes on this wireless home cinema system you will realise that we are talking about a very classy and stylish piece of equipment. If we ignore the functionality for just a minute and only consider the purely aesthetic qualities on offer then it is hard not to fall for the Sony DAV-FX100W.

But what does it do, and does it do it well? After all, you don’t just want a system which looks good but doesn’t give you the performance you are after. Well, it is a complete entertainment system for your home, with powerful speakers, a 5 disc DVD player, AM / FM receiver and lots of different connectivity options.

The speaker sound is one of the big draws for this system, and because of the extra power needed you will find that you need to a run a couple of wires here; other than that the whole thing is completely wireless. The combined power output is a massive 1000 watts, including a 285 watt subwoofer. This makes it ideal for watching movies, listening to music or getting caught up in the red hot atmosphere of a big sports game.

The system works with the following formats; DVD, audio CD, MP3, MPEG, VCD and SACD. In terms of size and weight this is a good package which isn’t good to be too heavy to move from one room to another and certainly won’t take up too much space in the room you use it in. It probably would fit best into a spacious, modern living room but the silver aluminium units could work well in just about room without too many problems.

This isn’t the cheapest home cinema system around, but you are paying for both style and performance with the Sony DAD-FX100W, and if both of these are equally important to you then this is a great choice.

Once you buy a wireless home theatre system you will no doubt be pretty keen to get it home and get it set up so that you can start using it. Taking a few minutes to read the instructions is always a good idea, although you should find it very easy to get it set up and begin to enjoy a cinema experience in your home.

The first step is to work out in which room you want to use your new system. Most people go for the living room option, but the ease which you can move the equipment from one room to another means that you don’t have to worry about this too much, as a switch to the bedroom won’t involve all the cable untangling that it would have done in the old days.

<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr><td><img src="" /><td></tr><tr><td><td></tr></table>Getting your TV and machines hooked up isn’t going to be too difficult but one area which you need to pay some attention to is the positioning of the speakers. The instructions will probably come with an idea of how best to position these. However, each home has different acoustics and you will find that a bit of trial and error will give you the best location for each one of your speakers in order for you to enjoy the full surround sound effect.

Now that it is all see up the way that you want it there isn’t really much more for you to do other than enjoy your movies and whatever else you plan to view on it. Some people like to make some changes to the room to further increase their viewing pleasure, and investing in comfy chairs and putting up thicker curtains might not be a bad idea if you plan to spend a lot of time in your new home theatre.

Lots of people are now considering upgrading to a wireless home cinema system, and if you are one of them then there may be a few questions which you would like to resolve first.

The first question on most people’s minds is where exactly they would put a sparkling new home entertainment system. Here are a few ideas which might just help you decide this.

Living room. This is where most people have their television at the moment, but some home owners feel that a big, imposing home cinema wouldn’t fit in to their living room, or that the quality of the surround sound could be lost in a small or cluttered living room. These worries are unfounded for a couple of reasons. To start with, most modern systems come with small and sleek machines which look great in a living room and don’t take up much room. Secondly, the multi speaker sound systems tend to be so flexible and versatile that they can easily adapted to different types of environment without losing sound quality or their super surround effect.

Spare room. Of course, not everyone wants to use their living room as a home cinema, and if you prefer to set up a bespoke environment for this then what about using a spare bedroom exclusively for this purpose. Add in some comfortable furniture and maybe a popcorn making machine for a great place to relax and watch movies with friends or alone. If you want to go all the way with the idea then adding sound proofing to the walls and putting up old movie posters can add lots of atmosphere.

Multi room system. If you get one of the top of the range systems with a wireless receiver then you can enjoy your movies in any room without having to shift anything about. This is a great way to use your home cinema system without having to worry about deciding upon a set location for it.

Rather than looking ahead to the wireless home theater options that are coming over the next few months, now is the time for those in search of a great deal to compare last years models.

The first thing to consider when you look for a Home Theatre System is what you want from it. Most people look for a quality image, great surround sound, easy control and a reasonable price.

If these are your criteria as well then the Philips HTS9800W just about meets them all, with the only complaint being that the price is towards the top end of the market. Still, if you want a quality cinema-like experience then you won’t have any quibbles with one.

<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr><td><img src="" /><td></tr><tr><td><td></tr></table>

The sound is pumped out through a 6.1 speaker system which has to be heard to be believed. There are omni-directional tweeters for a 360 degree dispersal of the high frequencies and the various speakers are all connected to wireless receiver for ease of use and an uncluttered room. A lot of people rate the sound quality as the single most important aspect of their wireless home theatre, and if that is the case with you then you will probably be delighted with the Philips HTS9800W purely on that basis.

However, there is more, and the system’s features allow you to play a lot of different types of discs and even upscale DVDs to suit either 720p or 1080i HD viewing. The images are sharp and concise and if you use this system with a really good big screen HD television you will have about as close to a cinema experience as you can get using the current technology.

The price is perhaps a little steep for some people, at £700 for UK buyers, but for the quality on offer it can’t be said to be an unreasonable price tag.

The only real complaint you might have is that the stylish boxes that make up the system take up a little bit more room than you might have hoped for. All in though, if you want a great home theatre system and you don’t mind paying a top end price for it you can’t do much better than this one.

If you are someone who loves to watch movies but hates to have their players and devices on show then the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 in Las Vegas has something which could be ideal for you.

We are talking about the new Iogear GW3DKIT 3D Wireless Streamer. This is a fine little device which is really a 3D receiver and transmitter with various types of input and output (HDMI. USB, VGA, USB) to let you hook up as many as 6 different types of home theatre machines remotely. You can then stream 1080p 60Hz HD video and 3D images as well as 5.1 audio across a Wi-Fi set up.

This means that not only can you watch your movies while your devices are out of sight, but that you can also enjoy multi room viewing without having to heave machines from room to room. The maximum distance at which the signal can be received is 100 feet, so unless you leave in a really big house you will be able to enjoy the sound and images in any room you choose. The people at Iogear advise that there will no latency problems and that you can expect a signal with no wireless interference.

If you connect it to your keyboard then you will be able to use the system to look up your photos, music etc. You can also use it as a simple way to manage your social media online content. You don’t need to set up any drivers or add on any software, which means that you can hit the ground running and get yours wireless streaming working right away.

The UK price isn’t yet clear but the word at the CES is that it will hit the US market at $500, which would mean a little over £300. It’s expected out in a couple of months and while the price may seem a bit steep casual home theatre users I expect keen movie buffs to be really excited about the launch.

The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has debuted many great new products in the field of wireless home theater systems. Many manufacturers have used this opportunity to show off new HD televisions, wireless speaker options, and the slimmest blu-ray player available. However, Mitsubishi may take the top with its debut of the HC9000 Diamond 3D Projector. The 3D projector uses a liquid crystal engine that produces 1080p HD resolution. The unit offers minimal fan noise and a lens that adjusts light output based on the scene you are watching. With its 120HZ refresh speed you can enjoy smooth transitions no matter what you watch.

The Diamond 3D projector includes a bulb that is guaranteed to perform a minimum of 4,000 hours when used in conservation mode. In fact, Mitsubishi is actually offering a one year warranty on the projectors bulb. Diamond was designed for seamless operation with input devices such as a blu-ray 3D player or satellite receiver. Included in the system are two HDMI inputs and an RS232 port.

While 3D wireless devices are very popular this year the Diamond projector offers a great feature for a movie room or family room. You can convert your room into a movie theater. Mitsubishi has offered 3D televisions since 2007 but this is the first in what will hopefully be a long line of 3D projectors. The HC9000 Diamond projector will be available sometime before March 2001. However, Mitsubishi did not disclose the MSRP in Vegas today. However, in the fall of 2010 prices were rumored in the UK market. At that time the estimate was 5,000 to 5,900 euro. That’s over 6,000 US dollars, but if you want the latest in 3D technology and a projection size over 100 inches the Diamond is top of the line.
